5 Basic Steps to Starting a Food Stockpile
The most important step in starting your food stockpile is to just get started!
No excuses! I put off starting a stockpile for so long because I was afraid of doing the 'wrong' thing. I had read so many articles about avoiding costly mistakes and I kept thinking I needed to save up to buy a huge amount of food at one time.
However, the reality is that most people who have enormous stockpiles of food started by collecting a little at a time. While there are mistakes you do want to avoid, the biggest mistake you can make is to not be prepared!
Let's look at these 5 basic steps to starting your stockpile!

Coming Soon!
In true Murphy's law fashion, after my first post my laptop charging cord bit the dust! So, new cord is on the way and until then I'm not able to quite get my post ready in a way to satisfy my OCD nature. Now my impatience just needs to survive the wait! Hopefully, it should arrive in the next day or two!
So in the meantime, I wanted to let you know I'm still here and give you some info to look forward to in my upcoming posts.

What Is Prepping and Why Do It?
As I had mentioned in my first post, Who and What is Prepping Mom, many times when you mention prepping you get crazy looks, rolling eyes, and raised eyebrows!
While many people envision wild-eyed "crazies" holed up in the corner of a bunker eating outdated cans of beans, this is not your typical prepper.
Although, I believe that the prepper community is widely diversified and each person's approach and definition will be as unique as the individual. And I am quickly learning that the majority of peppers are willing, and even eager, to share their knowledge and help you start your journey!
But what is prepping? And why should anyone be concerned with it?

Who and What is Prepping Mom?
Welcome to my blog!! I'm happy you have stumbled upon this and hope that you will stick around and check out some of my posts!
Let me first introduce myself. I am a 31 year old wife and mom of a pre-teen daughter! Over the last year, roughly, my family has taken an interest in prepping, self-sufficiency, and living more simply.
